호남권 지역주민의 건강행태와 만성질환 관리 현황

전세계적으로 만성질환 유병률은 증가 추세에 있고, 우리나라의 만성질환으로 인한 사망은 전체 사망의 약 80%를 차지하고 있다. 우리나라는 지역보건법 제정에 따라 지방자치단체의 보건사업계획 수립이 의무화되었다. 지역에 맞는 효과적인 사업 계획 및 수행을 위해서는 해당 지역의 건강현황을 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 이에 호남권질병대응센터 관할 지역(광주광역시, 전라남도, 전라북도, 제주특별자치도)의 건강관리지표 및 광역 단위에서의 지역 내 건강격차 변화에 대한 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 호남권 지역사회 건강행태와 만성질환 관리현황 파악을 위해 ‘2022 지역건강통계 한눈에 보기’에 수록된 52개 지표 중 주요 건강지표 27개를 선정하였고, 표준화율을 이용하여 연도 변화와 광역 내 시·군·구 지역 간 격차를 확인하였다. 호남권 지역사회 건강수준을 살펴본 결과, 광주광역시의 ˊ22년 월간음주율은 58.6%로 ˊ21년 대비 4.1%p 증가하였다. 전라북도의 ˊ22년 걷기 실천율은 46.8%로 ˊ21년 대비 10.1%p 증가하였으나, 지역 내 격차는 5년 전 대비 18.4%p 증가하였다. 전라남도의 ˊ22년 혈당수치 인지율은 30.6%로 ˊ21년 대비 6.9%p 증가하였으나, 지역 내 격차가 21.4%p 증가하여 건강 불균형이 나타났다. 제주특별자치도의 ˊ22년 당뇨병 진단 경험자의 치료율은 88.2%로 ˊ21년 대비 8.4%p 감소하였고, 지역 내 격차도 18.2%p 증가하여 관리가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이번 분석을 통해 호남권 지역사회 건강증진을 위해 흡연, 음주 행태의 개선을 유도하고, 만성질환의 인지 및 관리를 향상의 필요성을 재확인하였다. 본 분석결과가 호남지역 주민의 건강증진을 위한 사업방향 결정의 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

Abstract
The prevalence of chronic diseases is increasing worldwide, and in Korea, deaths due to chronic diseases account for approximately 80% of all deaths. In Korea, since the enactment of the Regional Health Act, it has been mandatory for local governments to establish health project plans, and it is important to understand regional characteristics for effective project planning and promotion. Therefore, we would like to provide information on regional health care indicators and health gaps in the Honam region. Using 'Korea Community Health at a Glance 2022’, 27 major health indicators were selected and analyzed. The monthly drinking rate in Gwangju in 2022 increased by 4.1 percentage points compared to 2021. Jeonbuk's walking practice rate in 2022 increased by 10.1 percentage points compared to 2021, but the gap within the region increased by 18.4 percentage points compared to five years ago. Jeonnam's blood sugar awareness rate in 2022 increased by 6.9 percentage points compared to 2021, but the gap within the region also increased by 21.4 percentage points. In Jeju, the treatment rate of people diagnosed with diabetes in 2022 decreased by 8.4 percentage points compared to 2021, and the gap within the region also increased by 18.2 percentage points. This analysis reaffirmed the need for awareness and management of health behaviors such as smoking, drinking, and chronic diseases in the Honam region. We hope that the results of this analysis will be used as basic data for determining project directions to improve the health of residents in the Honam region.
